23) Seeing things for what they are
This is when you can tell the real from the fake, where you can perceive something in a movement, a look, a word, an act or the nature of a person and acts accordingly. A person that sees things for what they really are is on guard but not suspicious, prepared for the imposter but not mistrustful.
To see things as they really are is avoided by many, some because they fear what they may face but the truth is that when you really see things for what they are, you have much less to fear than you actually do, because fear is used to warn us of danger and in all reality most of the people reading this book have felt fear much more times than they’ve been in danger, when you don’t fear non-dangerous situations that’s when you see things for what they really are.
Seeing things for what they are.
